first to plead guilty to federal charges for the bundy battle. a new hampshire man is expected to enter his plea today.. while an arizona man due in court thursday. they're just two of 19 defendants currently in federal custody for the armed standoff against the blm. it happened at cliven bundy's ranch back in 2014. this all stemmed over blm agents because they were grazing on public land fore more than 20- years. bundy owed more than 1- million dollars in grazing fees./// ((brian loftus)) jury selection will continue today for the ipad murder trial. 15 year-old marcos arenas was killed in 2013 when the device was stolen ... he was run over after trying to get the ipad back. michael solid will stand trial for the crime.. an alleged accomplice, jacob dismont, pleaded guilty earlier this month and is scheduled to

the state's gaming policy committee will review a proposed bill today... that could potentially allow daily fantasy sports sites to operate in nevada, again. the ramps at eastern and 215 have been the subject of a few of these segments. i have some good news though. the county plans to fix the pavement along the eastern ramps to 21 some time soon. the off-ramp to south eastern will be widened, and eastern from wigwam to warm springs will also be addressed. the county says there will be public outreach with this project including a website, e-blasts and additional signs. after that's all done, the county will turn its attention to the rt desert inn and warm springs. an improvement project will be designed this fall, and then construction will begin when funding is available. what's driving you crazy? remember, you can write me at. traffic 8 at las vegas now dot com. we'll be right back./// we'll be right back./// ((brian loftus))

across the valley. ((brian loftus)) >> lighting wasn't the only thing mother nature showed off.. the valley was rocked with some monsoon thunderstorms last night.. bringing lots of rain and even hail in some neighborhoods. winds were really powerful, too... some gusts exceeded 60- miles per hour. the weather knocked out power to nearly 7 thousand people across the valley at one point.. but nv energy workers were out throughout the night and have electric restored to most people./// ((brian loftus)) and check out this cool viewer video.. facebook page.. showing off mother nature's light show ... but in slow-mo. in santa ana.. they didn't have a problem with it ... but now, the hollywood- burbank airport actually wants the posters changed. they asked for the company to revise it and make it more conservative... although, they did allow the ad to be posted, for now. some passengers say it's a little risque .. but others say they're fine with it. a fire at an apartment building.. firefighters believe it may have been set deliberately after a domestic dispute. investigators say a 3- month old baby was pronounced dead at the hospital .. two other children and a man were later found dead at the scene. they are now searching for a person of interest wanted for questioning./// ((michelle mortensen)) most of us throw our clothes in about it. but get this... the way we've been washing our clothes for the past couple of decades .. may be all wrong. ((michelle mortensen)) it's one of the basic rules of laundry. the hotter the water -- the cleaner the clothes. the reason -- your detergent. historically -- detergents needed the hotter water to be more effective. but consumer reports experts say -- that rule no longer exists. now -- there are detergents formulated to work better in cold water. in fact -- consumer reports says
